Pulmonary (lung) disease prevention is an important part of our efforts. Care Choices can provide information and support to help you prevent lung disease through lifestyle changes. Our strategy includes:
- Identification of, and education regarding, risk factors related to lung disease
- Information on what you can do to change your risk factors to prevent lung disease
- Promotion of healthy lifestyle changes that can help reduce your risk for lung disease
Should you develop COPD, we can help you, along with your primary care doctor, to effectively manage it and minimize its impact on your daily life. Our COPD disease management strategy includes:
- Identification of, and education to those with established COPD
- Information on what you can do to reduce your risk for further lung disease
- Promotion of healthy lifestyle modifications that can help reduce the effects of lung disease
