Care Choices Announces New Directors for Pharmacy, Marketing and Product Development

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., August 19, 2004 – Care Choices has appointed two new directors. Steven Marciniak, RPh, joined the company as Director of Pharmacy and Jelka Petrovic, CHC, HIAA, CMCP, as Director of Marketing and Product Development.

In his new role, Marciniak will be responsible for the direction and oversight of pharmacy benefit management for Care Choices HMO members. He joins Care Choices from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) where he served in a number of roles, most recently as manager of the Provider Education and Clinical Program Development departments. Prior to BCBSM, Marciniak spent six years with F&M/Drug Emporium, progressing from local pharmacy management to corporate positions with director level responsibilities for pharmacy benefit management sales and marketing, as well as third party administration. He is a resident of West Bloomfield.

Petrovic joins Care Choices from HealthPlus of Michigan, where she was Director of Sales and Account Management. Previously she was with the Detroit Medical Center, where she held the position of Director, Marketing, Enrollment and Customer Service, Managed Care. She started her health care career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, where she rose to the position of Manager, Corporate Key Accounts. In her new role, she will direct the development of new products and product-level modifications for the Care Choices HMO and Preferred Choices PPO business lines. Petrovic is a resident of Orion.
