Formulary Updates

Care Choices does not add a new drug to the Formulary until the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee thoroughly reviews its effectiveness, safety and value.

The P&T Committee is composed of doctors, pharmacists and other specialists. The committee helps to ensure that you get the most effective and safest drugs available, while keeping health care affordable for you and your employers. Coverage of certain drugs may vary depending on the benefit purchased by your employer.

The P&T Committee meets quarterly (in March, June, September and December).
