Preventive Healthcare Guidelines
The Care Choices Preventive Health Guidelines (PHGs) are minimum
guidelines for periodic health examinations, immunizations and
screenings for healthy,
non-risk groups and are not to be interpreted as standards of care. PHGs
are mailed annually to each member household and Care Choices providers.
Care Choices reviews and revises the PHGs based on physician input and
nationally accepted guidelines.
Each PHG is reviewed minimally every two years for changes in
evidenced-based national standards and revised as appropriate.
